Gloucestershire Gladiators frustrated by Cardiff washout

Gloucestershire's prospects of qualifying for the quarter-final stages of the Friends Life t20 competition were dealt a further blow by the weather in Cardiff this evening.
Having already seen their home game against Somerset fall prey to the elements earlier this month, the Gladiators were again frustrated as heavy rain ruined any prospect of play in their latest match against Glamorgan Dragons at the Swalec Stadium.
The floodlit contest was abandoned without a ball bowled and both sides claimed a point apiece for a no-result.
Gloucestershire, who registered their first win when beating Northants at Bristol on Friday, now have four points from their first four games and must beat second-placed Warwickshire at Nevil Road on Wednesday if they are to retain a realistic chance of making the last eight.
Midland/Wales&West Group leaders Somerset are four points ahead of the Gladiators, but have played a game more.
